  1. Alerts regarding patient on scheduler or intake

    have a field that office can input patient specific alerts pertaining to Billing (like balance due or account in collections) or Appointment Scheduling (like patient discharged, do not schedule) etc.
    This would be incredibly helpful to scheduling staff to have alert box pop up that indicates this type of information. This way, staff can address when client is on the phone setting up an appointment.

    • Merge Duplicate Patients

      Occasionally, duplicate patient records are created. We would like to have the ability to merge duplicate patients' information.

      • Change SOAP note type to "No Show" if patient cancels or no-shows

        Currently, when a patient is a no show or has cancelled their appt, we can see this under the Appointment tab.
        However, when the appt is generated, it creates an encounter. As the appt is no longer valid, the dr still has to go in and sign off on this to take it out of their task list.
        Because we track these no-shows and cancellations, we do not delete them. I would like the option under the encounter to list the "Encounter Type" as a No-Show or Cancellation. (Currently I use "Letter" and put information on the no-show of cancellation…

          Hi everyone – As of 1/19/2017, we have introduced a new schedule setting to all practices that allows administrators to determine if encounters will be auto-generated for appointments marked as cancelled or no-show.

          We have also introduced a new Appointment Report that allows practices to review and filter appointments by facility, status, provider, and date, making it easier to track cancellations, no shows, and other scheduling details.

          • Delegating e-prescribing ability to practice staff

            Staff, other than prescribers (i.e. MAs and nurses) need to be able to send e-prescriptions in the physician's name.

            • Streamline document scanning

              Would like to scan documents directly to the Document section. Now we have to scan to the computer and then upload.

                As many of you know, we have deployed the ability for faxes to flow into Practice Fusion from Updox. This method of document publishing may be a positive alternative to scanning of documents.

                We will leave this idea as “Acknowledged” for now.

              • Existing Appointment Alerts when scheduling

                When scheduling appt. we would like an alert to show up if the pt has an existing appt. already so they don't have several appts. pending. That would save time and appt. available.

                • Add Documents as main tab in patient chart

                  Under CHARTS, when viewing a patient chart there are main tabs for SUMMARY, TIMELINE, and PROFILE. We frequently reference scanned documents and have to navigate too many menus just to view the list of scanned documents for a patient's clinical encounter.

                  Please elevate Documents to a main tab. This will also help Quality Control in ensuring the proper documents have been signed by the patient

                  • Hide Inactive Users

                    I have had people leave the practice, I have students going through and each time I have to allow them access to PF.
                    Now, my list of inactive is so long, when I go to look for an active user I have to go through this long list. I understand that I can't eliminate them since they have signed things that are permanent records but would like to 'hide' them so they aren't on the list all the time, like when I go to schedule screen. I know how to inactivate them from the tutorial.

                    • Patient Preferred Pharmacy

                      I would like to be able to add and update pharmacies for patients. At this time the doctor is having to do this when sending meds, it would be a great help to the doctor if the staff were able to manage the pharmacy during the intake process or prior to the doctor seeing the patient.

                      • Improved Patient Searching

                        When you go to type in pt's name it would be nice for the name to automatically start coming up and then you choose the correct name cause now you have to type in there first and last name and if you do not spell it correctly it wont come up at all and then you have to x out of it go back on your main screen and find the correct spelling of the name then go back in and type it again

                        • Scan Insurance Cards directly into Insurance Section

                          It would be great if we could scan insurance cards at check-in directly into the insurance section of the patient profile.

                          • Enhancing the e-Prescribing Pharmacy List and Searching

                            Can you add a favorite pharmacy list?

                            For example, I use mostly 8 pharmacies for 95% of my prescriptions . If I put cvs pharmacy the first time, the system should be able to store the cvs I use and it should automatically come up first.

                                As of 7/31/2015, we have successfully deployed Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances for our practices in 9 states listed below.

                                There are state-specific rules around EPCS that must be taken into account and it will take us some time to work our way across the country. Stay tuned here for future states that we’ll be certified for EPCS.

                              • Check in Patients from the DAY schedule screen

                                It would be great to have the ability to check in a patient in the DAY screen of the schedule instead of having to go to the APPOINTMENT screen. We work out of the DAY view because it better illustrates the day with the color coded appointments.

                                • Mark patient appointment as confirmed

                                  A status option of confirmed would be nice to note when pt. have been called to remind of appointments. Could note confirmed status for after patient is contacted

                                  • Automatic Refresh of EHR Data

                                    We are always running into problems with staff not remembering to constantly hit refresh. Why is that manual? Can the system "refresh" it self? say every 5 minutes or so?

                                    • Chart Note Faxing

                                      We should be able to fax notes directly from practice fusion, NOT as a referral, but to correspond with other doctors that may have referred the patient to us. Many doctors do not like receiving pages of information (demographics, insurance) that they already have. So, making a separate method that we can send JUST the note, and not as a referral, would be great.

                                      • Compact Schedule Printing

                                        The new update has changed the schedule view to be much longer, wasting lots of space and making it hard to see the entire schedule. The printed schedule is now 3 pages long as well, which wastes space and paper. We utilize the printed schedule everyday, and the small compacted 1 page schedule was what we worked with.

                                        • Delete custom document types

                                          I need a way to delete the custom document types. I really like the feature of being able to make our own custom labels, but when a label gets entered by mistake, or spelled incorrectly, there needs to be the option to delete it.
