  1. Patient Intake Form Responses Directly into Patient Chart Fields

    It would be great if these answers could automatically be connected to the patient's profile or first new patient encounter soap note. If we could have a clickable option where to link it to, this would allow (hopefully?) easy customization for everyone's individual templates.

    Also, if all questions/answers could be filled out on one page instead of clicking through different screens it would allow patients to look back and edit previous answers easier and also just look more standardized like other forms online.     Hi Ana,

    Right now, when you start a SOAP note for the patient who filled out the intake form, you’ll see the patient’s answers right there in the Subjective section of the note.     We have plans to make this information land in the patient’s chart in an even more structured way in the future as well.

    Additionally, we’re always looking for ways to improve our functionality, so this is a great thread for us to hear from our customers on patient intake.

  2. Ideas to improve the Medication List

    The medication list is the life blood of my practice. I see you have disabled the list. While I am in the chart note, or any part of the chart for that matter, I would like to drop down the medication list like a shade from the top of the page. It should be a full screen list all the way across. It should include all medications with dates updated and prescribed. I want to have better tracking of medications, which ones were tried, why they didn't work, why they were discontinued, etc. I know the information is available, but…

  3. Automatic Refresh of EHR Data

    We are always running into problems with staff not remembering to constantly hit refresh. Why is that manual? Can the system "refresh" it self? say every 5 minutes or so?

  4. Add a risk score assigned to a patient on his chart. The care team will assign this score and should have ability to run report

    Risk stratification of the patient is an important activity for the care team. The care team should be able to assign a risk score to the patient. This score should appear on the patient chart. Additionally the care team should be able to generate a patient list based on risk score. This will help in care management and give the ability to the care team to monitor the patient to up/down adjust the care.

    Hi everyone – On 6/08/2017, we released the ability to add Patient Risk Score to the patient chart via the patient Summary page. We will be keeping this feature request in progress for the time being as the requested additional reporting functionality for patient risk score is not currently available.

  6. Have completed appointments hidden on "today's" view but present on calendar

    The old EHR hid completed appointments on the daily view but kept them on the weekly calendar so that you could look back over your previous day's schedule. The new EHR keeps the appointments thus making your later appointments in the day below the screen or completely erasing them from the weekly view.

  7. Add a field for preferred names, nicknames, prefixes, and suffixes

    It is absolutely necessary to have a field outside of the legal name fields for preferred names, prefixes, and suffixes. We have many patients in our office who go by a name other than the one that appears on their insurance cards. We also have plenty of doctor patients in our office and it would be nice to note that without having to add "Dr." to their first name field or "MD" or "PhD" to their last name field! Or even for clergy! I don't want to add "Father" or "Sister" or "Reverend" to their first names because that prevents…

    Hi everyone,

    Good news! As of 9/28/17 you can now add a prefix and/or suffix to the patient Profile page.

    We will keep this feature request as partially resolved as we have not yet implemented the ability to search for patients by preferred name.

  8. Simple webcam patient profile photo uploads

    From within the app we should be able to click in the photo box to add a photo without having to go to my photos and import it into Practice Fusion.

  9. Allow attachments to patients' messages

    Patients are not able to send documents via the messaging system. This would be great if they can send old charts, results they have, etc.

    Hi everyone – As of 11/17/17, patients are able to attach files and hyperlinks to messages that they send to their provider from within the patient portal. When received in the EHR, these files and hyperlinks can be saved as documents to attach to the patient chart.

  10. Delegating e-prescribing ability to practice staff

    Staff, other than prescribers (i.e. MAs and nurses) need to be able to send e-prescriptions in the physician's name.

  11. We need the ability to enter more than one blood pressure

    Often, more than one blood pressure reading is taken during a visit. For example, if a patient needs to be assessed for dehydration, or if the BP is very high. There needs to be a way to enter more than one BP reading, including whether it was taken standing, sitting, or lying, and in which arm.

  12. Schedule masks for individual providers, not just the practice

    Scheduling templates for individual providers, not the entire practice. Another option would be to add "placeholders" that are visually different that the appointments so schedulers can easily see when appointments are available for each provider.

    Blocking schedules for providers not here renders the weekly schedule inoperable from a visual standpoint.

    As of 8/11/2015, we have deployed ICD-10 coding for Practice Fusion superbills in all PF practices to make sure you are prepared for the October 2015 CMS ICD-10 deadline.

    We have also incorporated ICD-10 diagnosis coding directly in the clinical and lab ordering workflows.

  14. Edit or Delete Lab and Imaging Order Templates

    It would be great to delete or alter lab order or imaging order templates once made.

    As of tonight’s release, we now offer support for editing and deleting lab and imaging order templates. Keep in mind that templates are lab/imaging center specific, and can be shared with your entire practice. Select the pencil icon next to your templates to use the new edit and delete functionality.

  15. Attaching documents to referrals

    For referrals, it would be helpful to attach lab results and documents as well as the encounters.

  16. Message a patient with an education form or instruction sheet

    It would be great to be able to message a patient and attach a file such as an education form or instruction sheet. Or provide the education forms for the practice in practice fusion.

    Hi there—can you describe a scenario where this would fit in your workflow, to help us understand the request a little better? Is this something that you would send to the patient usually when an initial diagnosis is entered? Or something done more ad hoc?

  17. Diagnosis List Ranking & Linking

    It would be paramount to organization, flow and reimbursement if we could rank diagnoses in order of importance during each visit in the Assessment portion of the note, and then link diagnoses to procedure codes in the Plan of each note. Currently, I can rearrange the order of diagnoses, but it does not hold that order in Finalize or future notes. This is a quick and rudimentary method of justifying in each note, why each procedure was performed or how each diagnosis was addressed, without additional sentences or explanations that create clutter in a note.

    This is a solid idea. We’re currently digging into how our current Problem List works and this is valuable input for how we may shape this feature.

    How else would you like to see the Problem List evolve and improve?

  18. Enhancing the e-Prescribing Pharmacy List and Searching

    Can you add a favorite pharmacy list?

    For example, I use mostly 8 pharmacies for 95% of my prescriptions . If I put cvs pharmacy the first time, the system should be able to store the cvs I use and it should automatically come up first.

  19. Co-sign / Countersign chart notes

    I'm a nurse practitioner. In Tennessee my supervising physician needs to be able to co sign certain of my charts and a certain percentage of my charts. I must sign and the MD must sign. A flagging system or simply allowing 2 signatures on the same chart is needed.

  20. Drop the cursor in the Room field when checking in a patient

    When we type in the room number for a patient, even though enter is lit up, we have to click on it. It would make things so much quicker if we could just hit the room number & enter on the keyboard.
