  1. Display preferred phone number on Scheduler

    Schedule should show home phone number in addition to mobile phone number. It should print the preferred method of contact or the only number available not just mobile numbers.

  2. View Total Number of Active Patients

    You used to have an easy way for me to see the total number of active patients in my practice. I would like to have that feature back. The current way of going to reports and selecting age >0 and having to export to an excel sheet to get the number is too time consuming.

    I am happy to report that you can review the number of active patients in your Practice Fusion account via the ‘Patient Import’ tile on your Practice Dashboard.

  3. Changing Canceled Appointment Appearance

    It is confusing to see the cancelled appointment still on the schedule immediately after it's canceled. After canceling, can you either remove it from the schedule, drop it to the bottom of the list, or change the way it looks?

  4. Increase font size

    we need text size to be able to get bigger

    As of September 2015, customers are able to modify the size of the text when editing sections of the chart note.

  5. When creating an Encounter, warn if Encounter already exists for that day

    If one clicks the orange "New Encounter" button on a day where an encounter has already been generated, a window should pop up notifying the user that a second encounter is about to be generated! This would be helpful in that it would allow the user to avoid creating duplicate encounters. Options on this prompt could include "make a new encounter anyway," "do not make a new encounter," or "take me to the latest existing encounter."

  6. Add field for primary and/or referring physicians

    Add please a field in schedule section for primary or referring physician and insurance information at the time of making appointment for our patients. As a specialist office, this feature will be greatly appreciated since this will save us time and do double work. Also if possible we can add as well a row to just add any time of comments or notes that would be visible in our patients appointment section. Thank you so much for all your help, and for accepting our suggestions! that is wonderful!

    Great news! We have released the custom document types feature into the New EHR. Over the next few weeks, we will be adding this functionality to our practices’ instances of the New EHR, so keep an eye out for this new feature.

  8. Document lab and imaging orders in a Chart Note

    I would prefer when I enter lab or imaging orders, they should go into current chart note. Consider adding an "orders and medication" section in the Plan section.

  9. Auto-Save Chart Note on Auto-Lock

    I understand the security issue that mandates an auto lock out. It seems an "auto-save" feature would be helpful when the screen auto-locks so we don't forget to save each time.

    We are happy to report that as of Q4 2015, chart notes are auto-saving every minute, so this idea is Resolved.

    Thanks for your patience as we worked through the most stable way to accomplish this.

  10. Insurance and Copay columns on the schedule

    For the patients that have copays and are entered in their account, it would be nice to reflect it on the schedule. Perhaps create a column on the schedule. It's hard to know the patient's copay while on the scheduling dialog box. If you were to click on "Chart" and go find it under Profile, the appointment you were making is no longer there. It would be nice to save time by not having to go to the patient's chart after scheduling the patient's appointment and then typing it in the 'chief complaint'.

  11. Keep lab open while viewing note

    It would be great to be able to view the labs, a document, RX list at the same time as a note. Then I can make notes, plans, etc in the chartnote while viewing the data, instead of having to write it on a piece of paper or remember it in my head while I switch back and forth between parts of the chart.

    Hi everyone, as you may have noticed, as of mid-2015, you can access Quick Preview to look at lab results and previous notes for the patient when working on a chart note.

  12. Move Notes section to top of Patient Profile

    In the patient's chart, under the Profile tab, there is a place where you can enter just some random notes. In the old EHR, this was visible right by the demos up front and top. Now we have to scroll all the way to the bottom. It would be great to have a "NOTES" box somewhere that is easily accessible, like in the "PROFILE" tab to that area on the right.

  14. Formatting Chart Notes

    Please add more formatting options to chart notes. Things like bullets, bolding, underlining, color, etc. would be extremely helpful.

  15. Optimize clicking in Superbill

    When generating a superbill I must select myself via drop down menu as a rendering provider then select location of service for every patient encounter even though I'm signed on at that computer all day. If I signed on once and the system afterward would default to me and my location then it would save me close to 100 clicks per clinic day.

    All those clicks add up. I once counted around fifty clicks to generate one progress note and bill. Multiply that by say 20 patients and you've performed 1000 mouse clicks that day.

    As of Q4 2015, rendering provider and service location will default to the provider and facility assigned to the chart note that is associated with that superbill.

    If you are a legacy user of the Practice Fusion/Kareo interface, we specially enabled this functionality to mirror your previous workflow. When you see two lists in your dropdown, please select the from the Billing system list.

  16. Display patient list

    The old version of PF had the ability to list all patients in the practice. This is useful for a number of common activities, as is the ability to sort by various parameters, e.g. last name. Please add this back

    Update: We’ve made additional enhancements to the Recent patient list.

    Beginning 4/24/2015, the patient list in the new EHR will automatically show up to 1,000 patients, sorted by most recently accessed.

    We will also be taking an entire re-look at this feature later this year, to make sure you can find your patients when you need to access them.

  17. Enable Appointment Reminders from Scheduler

    Currently, to change (or check) whether a patient gets appointment reminders, one has to open the chart, go to profile, and scroll down. If, when we were scheduling the patient, or on the appointment display, we could click the checkbox to allow appointment reminders, that would help immensely, and be of use when scheduling follow-ups. We could confirm with the patient - as they are scheduling - whether they want to receive reminders.

  18. Prior Authorization for Prescriptions

    Recently saw a demo for CompletEPA (surescripts) for medication prior authorizations. Because it is real-time and integrates into existing EHRs, I think it will significantly reduce the amount of time that my staff and I spend on medication PAs, and it will improve patient care, compliance, and satisfaction. Would love to have the ability to add this service (or a comparable one) to Practice Fusion.

  19. Message Archiving Enhancement

    Please individualize message archive to give time to others to see it. Now if one party archives it, the message no longer appears for everybody.

  20. Sort Frequent Diagnosis Codes Differently

    When searching for a frequent dx code I have to scroll through every one because it is currently sorting by the code rather than the descriptor. I would like this to be alphabetical. It serves no use currently as it takes less time to search for it in the search box than scroll down through the list.
