Darker fonts for Vitals section
Hi. The vital sign section needs to be more prominent. The font is very faint, and you care barely see the heading for each box.
22 votesWe have overhauled the way that vital signs are displayed in the chart note, which included making them more legible.

Indicate a template line has been used
I would like the EHR to indicate when you use a line in a template. i.e. it would change color (lighten) to reflect that you already chose that line. When you have a robust template, it is hard see where you last clicked, since you don't always choose all of them.
21 votesHi everyone—thank you for your patience here.
As of 6/26/2015, there is now a visual indicator that you have selected a template line.

Custom Insurance Reports
I need a list of all my patients who have a certain insurance. Is there a way to run a report for that?
21 votesGreat news—we launched this feature this past week!
You can find out more about it here: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/497467

Timeline Content Display
When you select Timeline, it would be better if PF would wait for you to select which of the dropdown choices you want. Frequently I want to see labs or documents. Since PF does not stick on the last used choice (I wish it did), at least you would not wait for the encounters to load before you can select documents again.
21 votesHi everyone—quick update here to let you know that the Timeline will remember which section you were looking at when you navigate back.

Attach documents to chart notes
Can you or could you record heart sounds and save as MP3 into the assessment SOAP note or some other part of the patient record?
20 votesGreat news! We have released the ability to attach documents to encounters.

Store Patient Provider Care Team
Would like for a practice to be able to add/delete and see each patient's specialist doctors. Like the directories, it would take a few secs to fill out especially for long time patients but it would be very helpful if you have a large practice and need to quickly know which cardiologist a patent sees.
20 votesHi everyone—quick update here. As of 6/5/2015, we’ve implemented the request and you can start tracking your patients’ Care Teams.

I have entered an ICD-10 Diagnoses, however, on the summary and the encounter I am still seeing an ICD-9 code.
The ICD 10 codes entered at 10/01/2015 in the diagnoses at the encounter and summary shows the ICD 9 with the code description. It suppose to appear with the ICD 10 instead of the ICD 9?
19 votesHi IT Girl,
We are storing both ICD-9 and ICD-10 with each diagnoses. By default we are showing the ICD-9 code with the description to help with the transition. However, when looking at the summary screen you will see an option to change how you would like the diagnoses to be displayed. Next to the print icon you will see the word: Term. If you click that you will see the option to choose how you would like to see the Diagnoses displayed.
By term displays the way that diagnoses have been displayed over the last several years, but the ICD-9 code, and the term or description that you chose when you added the diagnoses.
By ICD-9 codes will display the ICD-9 code and description.
By ICD-10 codes will display the ICD-10 codes and description.
Changing this will affect the summary, encounter,…

Updates to Allergies List
The allergies (food) list is missing a few items: coffee, corn, soybean, and egg whites. Please add these and also provide us a way to enter in allergens with free text.
18 votesHi everyone—as of 7/17/2015, we have added these 4 food allergies to the list. Thanks for your patience.

Make Document Preview Section Larger
It is taking several steps to review a document because it appears with the details on one side and a very small document on the other.
We have to close the detail screen using the x and then magnify the remaining image at least 2 times to be able to read.
It would be better if the default was a larger image with the ability to open the details if needed( most of the time they are not.)
17 votesHello everyone – as of 6/1/2017, we have introduced an update to the document preview functionality: signed documents will now automatically preview in a full screen view when selected, with the option to click “Show Details” to view the document details window.
Please note that pending (unsigned) documents will continue to show the details window when opened until the document has been signed.

Frequent Diagnosis Picklist
There used to be a sheet on which you could check off multiple diagnoses. In PF, the diagnosis section can have a list 20-50 of the most common diagnoses of a practice that can be checked off individually or "select all" and then saved to the chart with one click.
17 votesAs of 2/19/2016, all Practice Fusion EHR users now have the ability to manage their commonly used diagnoses in their My Dx List.

Discontinue a Med --> Add an Allergy
It was great with a single button in old chart to add an allergy while discontinuing a medication. Now I have to remember to stop it, and then go to the allergy section and add it, then come back and continue what I was doing with medications.
16 votesI am happy to report that as of 03/25/2016, when you discontinue a medication and select “Allergic to medication” as the Discontinuation Reason, you will be prompted to enter an allergy to that medication.

Choose which sections of a Chart Note to Print
We would like to be able to choose which sections of a Chart Note to print. For instance, remove quality of care/screening info/from printable encounter.
This way the printable note is simple and to the point and saves paper as well.
15 votesAs of 9/24/2015, you can now choose just which sections of the chart note you would like to print.

Actions menu for Documents
It would be really helpful to have a drop down menu next to patient's name under documents menu that would include an option to send a message to staff without the need to click on patient's name and open the patient's chart. That way after reviewing the document if an action needs to be taken by clicking the drop down menu we would be able to send a message and then sign the document and move on with the next document.
Current set up requires us to click on patient's name, open the chart and generate a message...15 votesHi everyone. As of 6/26/2015, there is an Actions Menu in Documents where you can send a new message and create a new task. Thanks for your input here. Keep the ideas coming!
There is a new section in this Knowledge Base article that covers the Actions Menu addition: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/483348

Correct naming of Tdap and DTaP
When adding a historical vaccine, I've notice two vaccines in the drop down list that don't exist and at least one common vaccine that is not listed. There no vaccines by the name or abbreviation of TDaP or DTAP. The upper and lower case of these vaccines is VERY important and has to do with dosing. Having TDaP and DTAP available in the drop down is very confusing. On the other hand, Tdap, which is commonly administered, is not on the drop down list.
15 votesThis naming problem has been resolved.

In "Previous Encounters", list chief complaint
When editing a SOAP note I click on "Previous Encounters" in the left window and all I see is a list of dates with "Office Visit: SOAP Note"
It would be more useful if this displayed the Chief Complaint for the previous encounter instead15 votesI am happy to report that under “Previous Encounters”, we now display the date, encounter type, note type, and Chief Complaint.
Please continue to let us know how we can make PF the best EHR for your practice.

Common diagnoses for lab ordering
If a patient does not have a diagnosis recorded in Dx history it would be helpful if we could create a template with our most used diagnoses so that we could easily select them without having to search through the entire system.
14 votesHi Meghan—I am happy to report that this is already possible using our EHR. You can read more about the feature here: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/483521

Default "Relationship to Patient" to "Self" in PHR Access
Please make "Self" be the default value in the "Relationship to Patient". Most of the time, we are granting access to the patient directly.
13 votesIn January 2016, we overhauled the patient chart header, which included major updates to the PHR enrollment window.
