In the updated EHR, in Social History there is a tab for Alcohol Use - but if a patient is a non-drinker, there is no option of 0 drinks/day - so we cannot complete the section and get a risk score.

#2 in the screening should have Zero as a choice. If a person only drinks at Christmas, then #2 is Zero. If you don't answer #2, screening shows partially completed and is then not scored

The new alcohol history questionnaire consists of 3 questions, the second one being "How many drinks do you consume in a typical day" -- There is no available answer for ZERO. There are in fact patients who do not and have never consume alcohol. If you merely skip this question, it displays a message that the questionnaire is incomplete. Ironically, if you choose the lowest available option ("1-2 drinks") then the patient's score is ZERO at the end. PLEASE FIX THIS. I am CONSTANTLY having staff point out that there is no zero to choose from. And MANY patients are getting offended that their chart says "1-2" when in fact they consume ZERO drinks.
