Allow attachments to patients' messages
Patients are not able to send documents via the messaging system. This would be great if they can send old charts, results they have, etc.
Hi everyone – As of 11/17/17, patients are able to attach files and hyperlinks to messages that they send to their provider from within the patient portal. When received in the EHR, these files and hyperlinks can be saved as documents to attach to the patient chart.
For more information on handling patient message attachments, please see our Knowledge Base article here:

It would also be useful for emailing patients information handouts instead of printing them. This way, things like aftercare instruction will also be documented as sent to the patient in the chart.

Some times we have to scan information to patient as reports from other doctors and referrals.
It will be nice if we can scan to the patients and they can scan to us.
Please start introducing this feature.

Yes, If providers and patient can send direct message with attachment that will be great! So that we do not have to print all documents out and send them via snail mail when clients requested their medical records.
Yes, if they can send jpegs and pdf's that would be great.
I do not think they need to categorize it, it might be too much work for them. And, if it is not categorized properly you still would have to change it.
