Display patient list
The old version of PF had the ability to list all patients in the practice. This is useful for a number of common activities, as is the ability to sort by various parameters, e.g. last name. Please add this back
Update: We’ve made additional enhancements to the Recent patient list.
Beginning 4/24/2015, the patient list in the new EHR will automatically show up to 1,000 patients, sorted by most recently accessed.
You can read more about this here: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/483079-how-do-i-search-for-patients-in-the-ehr
We will also be taking an entire re-look at this feature later this year, to make sure you can find your patients when you need to access them.
I would like to see all patients listed, alphabetically is good. I see the utility in having "recent patients" but prefer access to all patients in one easy list.

Need to sort patients by provider and create such report.
The old patient list screen was also good for our practice as well. One thing that I would like to see is the whole patient list be listed alphabetically. It makes it so much easier for looking up a name. And the search bar feature is great to use as well.

I agree with many of the postings...and would VERY MUCH like to be able to see a FULL list of all the patients in my small private practice of Addiction Psychiatry.
Hi Jim--it sounds like you're needing a specific patient gap report to make sure people aren't falling through the cracks. Even when we redesign the patient list, I don't think this will be the greatest use of the feature. Can you create a new idea specifically for your practice's needs so we can see how others might use this kind of report and respond accordingly?
It is incredibly important for me to be able to see all of the patients in my practice. I have a small psychiatry private practice in which I handle scheduling myself. Every few weeks, I like to see ALL of my patient notes at once to make sure no one has 'fallen through the cracks,' and has not been recently scheduled with me.
The main "Chart" screen in the old version of PF was perfect for our practice. We are a mobile clinic, with one click and scroll I could tell a community we serve which patients they had registered with us. That is no longer the case.
I could sort by Date, Address, Last Name, etc. I do not know why the new EHR has less features in this regard.
Additionally, what I loved about that screen was the blue background and the entire left column with a first name, last name search. I could just type in the first few letter of a name and the column to the right would populate immediately with names.
I also miss the "Active Patient Count" on the left. Why is this gone?
Please add back the patient lists....I am trying to make sure our charts are all up to date and this is virtual impossible with this new system....

I am a supervisor and need the patient list from my student to sign off on. I liked the feature from the last PF because I could see the type of note, case review and date.
I would like to see all patients by patient record number and also in alphabetical order. I also want to see all unsigned charts.
Just want to see patient list. Recently accessed is of no help. It would be helpful to see all the patients at once while you are manually adding them to your practice. Please bring it back asap.
If I could search by all the factors I mentioned including last encounter note, then no, I wouldn't need to see the whole list.
I'm curious why a practice would need to see every single patient in their practice listed on the screen in the patient list. Do you scan the list for a patient you're looking for?
If our patient search function were just a whole lot better and faster, would that give you what you need?
Needs may differ by practice, so ideally this could be individualized. But if this has to be identical for every practice perhaps a survey would be helpful.
For my practice I'd like to see all active patients in a list, with an option to also include inactive patients who have been recently viewed.
I like the order to default to the order they were last viewed. Other sort options I'd like to have: last name, first name, date of last note, birthdate, phone number. (i wouldn't need to sort by phone number if I could search by phone number.) I'd also like to be able to reverse-sort each of these lists (last name A-Z vs Z-A).
I'd also like the list to display the total number of active patients, perhaps to one side like the old EHR.

Personally, I generally look for one patient at a time, so recently accessed patients are not much use to me. As a surgeon, though, my needs may be totally different from those of primary care practitioners. The ability to display all the patients in the practice in alphabetical order is crucial when we are trying to extract data about our patient population. Ordered by last name is convenient, but the idea is to have all patients available so that charts can be opened, the desired information extracted, and then closed so that duplicate information is not accidentally entered.
