Automated phone and text message appointment reminders

It would be nice for the patient to receive a call or text for appointment reminders. It would make it easier on office staff who are too busy in a day to do appointment reminders. It also would eliminate a lot of no show appointments.

    This would be very helpful but the phone/text call service to be in the system. Also, if there was an option to include the times of appointments or have the option of not putting a time in the automated confirmation. We are a house call practice for geriatric patients, and we cannot give times due to traveling home to home.

    Text message appointment reminders is a feature that Practice Fusion needs. We are Pediatrics and the new generation communicates by text so this feature would help practices like our become even more successful.

    Our patient's age range is between 40 to 70 y/o, this patients don't check their email or have any, they are a different generation. It will be easier and will help our office to be more efficient to have this tool so we can focus more on what is important (our patients). Is time consuming have to call them and remind them their appointments, the schedule on practice fusion is easy to use, but honestly this tool should be a MUST have. Thank you!

    Automated confirmation calls/text is much needed. Because Practice Fusion is constantly doing system updates, it's very hard for our current call system to acknowledge every update making our calls unsuccessful.

    NEED this! Have tried other services which integrate with PF but they don't work. And most patients aren't helped by email reminders and tell us they love text reminders.

    Much needed. Our front office staff spends an inordinate amount of time making reminder calls. We need auto-text reminders-your competitors do!

    Text/Call reminders would be more beneficial for our office because not all of our patients have an email address and/or don't have a smart phone, especially older patients. It would be a great benefit also if on calls there was a button they could press to confirm the appointment such as #1 to confirm #2 to cancel, on text they could reply with confirm or cancel so that we know they received the call or text. I would prefer the text message option because if they don't answer their phone and it goes to voicemail then there's no way to track if they received the call. Typically if people receive a text message they open it and reply. Maybe do text message for patients that have a mobile number listed and a call for patients who do not have a mobile number.

    I concur with Dr. Sparkman. "Sending a text three days and then one day before their appointment would be helpful. Many do not have minutes on their phone and cannot get an email but they can get and respond to a text. Also, this will help no-shows. The system sends the email reminder but my staff calls the patient and leaves a message. When we text them, we get a better response." This would be a feature that would support our practice the sooner the better. Thank you.

    reminders to email is a nice feature but very dated. It must be done via text message for it to be a helpful feature these days. Please update.

    I've been using PF for 6 years and this has been a request since that time. You guys initially stated it was a HIPPA issue, now with all other EHR software offering it, I think you have to know that there is a HIPPA compliant way to do it. PLEASE add this as a feature. It would be great if this could be a priority.

    I would like to add, this would be nice but only if PF updates and integrates their time syncing to google calendar. We currently use the email option, but will be stopping due to the fact that PF is not synced and patients arrive either an hour early or an hour late.

    This would be a fantastic option, if they were able to sync it correctly.

    I am new to our practice and was surprised this functionality does not work. The patient can confirm their appointment via their personal chart but the confirmation is not linked to the actual back office schedule, the office still needs to make contact with the patient to confirm their appointment. I hope this is a priority for Practice Fusion in the near future to allow this functionality.

    Practice Fusion patients are not receiving the email appointment reminders recently. I have the tech support working with me but still no result.

    Is there an update to this? Now that practices are paying for Practice Fusion and practically everyone has a cell phone, this is a must feature. We all need ways to save time and avoid no shows.
