Indicate an appointment slot is being worked on to prevent overbooking

As we, and I am sure many other practices have more than one person scheduling at the same time, it would be great if a time slot could be locked when one person is scheduling an appointment. We had a few instances where we ended up double booked in the same slot because both employees were entering an appointment at the same time and there is no way to know if another person is adding a patient to that time slot when you are.

Yes, this is something that should be implemented sooner than later the staff is double booking way to many patients at one time. .

this would be a great feature since yes, not only one person schedules....sooner rather than later, just waiting for the first mistake to make to have to do some pt. PR work....don't want to double book accidently.

There needs to be a red flag indicating on the schedule not only if a time slot is being used but also when a patient has been given two appointments at the same time with the same clinician. I was able to do this and I would think that"warnings" of some sort would be vital.

This would be extremely helpful as we operate in 3 locations with staff making appointments in all three. Finding a way to not overbook creates less havoc first thing in the mornings as we download the days schedule.

It would be nice if blocked time such as lunch was also 'locked' so that appointments cannot be scheduled over it.

Also a warning message when booking an appointment that goes past the close of business. ie: scheduling at 60 minute appointment at 4:30 when business closes at 5:00.

If there was something to let you know the slot is already booked that would help or even something to let you know another user is in the same chart.
