Changing Canceled Appointment Appearance
It is confusing to see the cancelled appointment still on the schedule immediately after it's canceled. After canceling, can you either remove it from the schedule, drop it to the bottom of the list, or change the way it looks?
Mrs Cheryl Broderick commented
FD Staff should be able to mark the appt as canceled, which would automatically remove it from the schedule but not the appts tab. A report should be available on canceled appts so administrative staff can see repeat offenders.

Solved: In your display settings of Appointment Type, just uncheck the Cancelled type. Our MA also unchecks Seen, and NoShow, so they keep the upcoming appointments nearer the top.
remove the encounter when the patient is cancelled instead of create one.

also now, when a patient canceled- it looks like a soap note.
before it would say "Patient canceled for such and such reason" or whatever our personal notes were as to why the pt canceled or rescheduled,
but now in encounters, it doesnt and it can be quite frustrating

Create custom Appointment Types for No Show and Cancelled with their own colors to see them on the Week schedule. But you have to label them "Seen" on the Appointments schedule and delete their encounters from the Actions menu, so, yeah, it's not optimal.
This is very confusing!
Needs to be like the old schedule so that we can selecto to either view the cancelled appts or not.

Or just add a button where you can click on to view canceled appointments if you want. Once canceled it should be removed from view like the old version, with a button to view if preferred.
Perhaps the cancelled app'ts could be a much lighter shade of whatever color is being used for regular app'ts.
I agree. It's hard when your trying to schedule an appointment because it looks as if they already have someone in the slot even though it has been cancelled.
