Additional Encounter Types
Most surgeons will see patients in multiple hospitals in the ER on the floor or in the Operating room. When need to have a way to capture and add the documentation to our EMR both for billing and for documentation purposes. Currently the encounter type is limited to office.
Can you please provide additional encounter types: ER consultation, operating room procedure
Great news! Users can now add encounter types according to their SNOMED code, or HCPCS code.

Also an encounter type for a Phone Call conversation, and any office staff could make this not just the doctors and MD's.

The encounter type list is severely limited in scope and in no way reflects the types of encounters seen by a large number of physicians and, especially, surgeons.

I work mostly in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities and only a small amount in the office. My encounters are not office visits but Acute Care Visit vs Recertification visit.
We need an encounter type for a weekly progress note for our PHP program. Currently having to utilize office visit for a weekly note.

This would also be helpful for the ambulatory surgery centers. Our doctors see pts there frequently. Listing the visit as "Office Visit" is incorrect and there is no other option for the encounter type that would be appropriate.
Please list more options for the encounter type such as Ambulatory Surgery and Hospital visit/consult
I see the that there templates for hospital services, but no encounter types for the hospital. How can I add an encounter type? Can you please add encounters for hospital Consult, Hospital admission, Hospital follow up and hospital progress note. This would invaluable for patient tracking and billing.
We have encountered this same issue and are trying to come up with a way in the EHR to track our inpatient procedures and consultations.
