Merge Duplicate Patients

Occasionally, duplicate patient records are created. We would like to have the ability to merge duplicate patients' information.

    Duplicate accounts happen frequently for us. Even though we inactivate the appropriate account, the inactive account still appears as an option for scheduling appointments and uploading documents. This has caused a bit of a problem in our office. We now inactivate an account, and add to the last name INACTIVE so we do not choose that account.
    We now have to keep some of those Inactive accounts because they were unfortunately used for physician visits via scheduling, so notes are present in a "dead" account.
    Merging and deletion would be a HUGE functionality help!

    This happens quite often within our free clinic where we rely on volunteers. Please fix this and also an alert to tell you that a patient with this name and DOB has already been created.

    Definitely agree we see a large number of international patients. often duplicate charts are created when we add the DOB provided. US method versus Non-US method. 07/09/00 versus 09/07/00 Now stuck with duplicate charts and uploaded documents.

    Yes we definitely need this. Copy and pasting every note that is in the wrong place is terrible.

    We have duplicate patients due to whether they are seen as an inpatient or an outpatient. If this is created, please make if an OPTION if we would like to have the charts merged or not.

    This is so needed as well as an alert to say this is a duplicate patient so you dont create one in the first place.

    For me I delete the know show notes as to not clutter the list of notes

    Our original patient list was created from at least 5 separate data bases that shared a patient base. We have lots of duplicates-if we could easily merge the records it would save a lot of time.

    I'd love this feature, today I had to manually transfer things from a duplicate chart and it takes a while. This feature would be very helpful.
