Check In Patient from Patient's Chart
Rather than finding the patient appointment on the facility schedule, have a button that can be clicked, type the patients name, and appointment(s) that fall on current day will automatically change status to Arrived.
Each provider at our office is a different facility for scheduling reasons, so we frequently have to ask the patient, "who are you here to see?" (or we start clicking through the schedules guessing). This workflow is to navigate to appropriate facility schedule, to the correct date, to the appointment tab, and then select the appointment for check in.

And one step farther. When they check in maybe their appt card can turn to a color? other than our selected Pint/Redish color. Right now we print the daily schedule out. and mark them off as they sign in on our Ipad. i LOVE Fusion and the more you do your updates the happier I am!!!

Check in button could be an icon on the left side bar options, so its always there no matter if front desk is currently in scheduler, chart, billing reports, or messages.
Click the link, type patient name, and perhaps click a check box that says Arrived for appts scheduled same day .
Our front desk does not go into the chart for anything other than patient profile for demographics and insurance . and to navigate to future scheduled appts list.
