Easier access to "record patient reminder"
Currently, the Actions menu in a patient's chart allows us to "Record patient reminder". It would be nice to have easier access to mark that we've handled the "record patient reminder". Perhaps a checkbox next to the appointment under the daily "appointments" tab in the schedule so we can tell if we have done them all every day?
Since patient reminders are no longer a Meaningful Use measure, this should be resolved.

I am using "reminders" in the "Task" section and I like that one can set a specific date to act on a patient reminder. However, Dated and targeted "reminders" simply get lost in all the accumulated tasks. Shouldn't there be a visual alert next to the Task icon indicating that TODAY there is a current reminder to act upon? It's nice to see the total number of Tasks that are accumulated, but the number does NOT discriminate between today and future tasks. Why not a white asterisk that turns RED when the targeted date for the reminder is today? All white asterisks are future tasks and undifferentiated, BUT a red asterisk means look today or past date without action and see what needs to be done. Would this be possible? Thank you.
A numerical accounting of all tasks that does not indicate today a reminder needs action is much less valuable than a passive red alert to act easily seen on the left panel of the EHR.
