Link Family members' charts
It would be nice to be able to link family member's charts, so we can easily track their relationships.
It would also be great if the address and phone numbers could optionally populate and update when linked.
In pediatrics, we have a lot of families with multiple children, and it would be great to put that John Doe and Sally Doe are siblings and that address and next of kin are the same.

To be able to link parent/child or spouse charts and be able to have that information populate into the Next of Kin or Guarantor when selected would be awesome. Also helps prevent multiple messages to same family regarding multiple appts on the same day (multiple sick kids or postpartum/newborn visits).
I agree with this! Being in Fertility it would be great to be able to link patients with their Spouse/Partner!! Let's get this going!! :-)
A way to link Siblings would help with scheduling physicals, sending patient reminders to the family instead of individually, and updating new demographic information.

We have a pediatric practice so it is more important for us. But all patients have families that impact their lives and health. It would be nice to have a place to note that in the patients chart.

I am a pediatrician, I just saw 5 siblings and the profile has to be entered for each one of them even though most of the info is exactly the same, there should be a way to link charts by family or legal guardian so it is easier on the staff and also to avoid errors, when a new family with several children is coming to our otffice

Family members make appointments and instead of having to type in the information again and again, having a family member button that copies the address and phone number and insurance. THis will cut a lot of time adding patients into the system.
Link files of those who are married; this is critical for psychotherapy because couples are considered a singular client/treatment unit. And, with the integrated medical model, psychotherapists are working in and with medical associations, making this a need unanswered with the EHR.
