Scan Insurance Cards directly into Insurance Section

It would be great if we could scan insurance cards at check-in directly into the insurance section of the patient profile.

Once again an example of why easy access to documents in each patient's individual profile would be a major improvement. Having to look through all the scanned documents to find the card photo is not efficient at all. An even better step would be for the card copy to scan directly to PF and for the information on the card to populate to the Payor part of patient's profile. This would save on paper and time.

Please add OCR in order to bulk scan and auto upload into the recognized Pt's "chart"

This feature is long over due. It would be nice to get an estimated time for when this feature will be implemented.

Add OCR (Optical Character Recognition) capability so that scanned insurance info will automatically get populated in pertaining fields such as Payer Name, Insurance ID, Group Number etc.

Please assist with adding the scanning of cards in the EHR. It is extremely beneficial for our practice and billing. This is a super must feature.

Please input a scan button on the schedule side of the EHR or let us upload an image directly to the pinned notes section

Why can't we see insurance cards in profile section right by the card info?
It's such as hassle to go into documents and pull out pdf to see.
This is a must, necessary feature that is long overdue.

We had this feature with our old EHR system. This would be a big help to our practice.

We are new to practice fusion everything is great! The old system we were on had that function. It was very helpful

This certainly would save a lot of time and paper since we have to photo copy the card, then scan into PF. How close we to getting a resolution?

I think there shoulid be a section for a copy of the insurance card and Id. some practices do not have a scanner and to cut down on human errors with billing, this way the person doing the billing can see the hard copy of the insurance card.

  • Ms Sierra Rasmussen commented  ·

I 100% support this. It would cut back on paper waste and also save time. It's a hassle to enter manually.

  • Edwin Peguero commented  ·

Agree, in addition it will be very useful to upload every document directly from the scanner to the encounter or to documents

  • Danielle Marie commented  ·

Yes please.. Uploading these cards is a pain in the butt.
