It would be much easier for us to add patients from the Documents Upload section, as we're uploading documents for patients that don't yet exist.14 votes
Great news! We have released the ability to add a patient from the documents section.
Thanks for providing all of your input and requests for this feature and we’re delighted to release it.
You can learn more about this feature towards the bottom of this article:
Once I click "sign" for a document, please give me the option to disable the "Are you sure?" prompt afterwards.12 votes

We have to scroll down constantly to get to the next section when working with documents. Would be great if the documents upload area was bigger and didn't require scrolling.9 votes
When you have the document opened and are viewing it from the 'Tasks' tile, this is the area where providers are writing instructions to call patient. We need a link from this screen to enter patient chart to receive contact information. Without it, you must exit view mode, enter chart, extract necessary contact info including HIPAA form, then return to tasks section relocate specific document, view and read instructions to patient. This would cut down tremendously on time.8 votes
When printing out patient document, we would like to have it also print the details and comments about that document.8 votes
I have a great color scanner and the patient ID# are perfect resolution.
Please consider allowing patient photos in PDF format as well.7 votes
Hi Cindy—have you tried changing the output on the scanner to save it as a JPG or PNG? That way, you retain the great resolution of the scanner without saving them as PDFs.
Can we attach multiple patients to one document?6 votes
Hi—it is unlikely we will ever implement a feature like this. Since documents are official parts of a patient’s chart, it’s imperative that the document belongs to one and only one patient. We recommend you upload the document multiple times if it needs to be assigned to multiple patients.
Can you share the kind of document scenario where you would use this feature?
When you open a document and close it after viewing it, one should be taken back to the list of documents again. Instead one is redirected to the "Summary" tab of the patient's chart.3 votes
Currently, smaller patient profile photos are not being able to be uploaded that are smaller than 200x200. Please allow this smaller pic upload.2 votes
CCRs should display without download. In the old version and this one, PF does not check the document extension. we used CCR or CCD as seemed appropriate for pdf documents. PF should allow for this legacy problem and display CCR and CCD document with extension .pdf as any other document. During upload, PF should remind the user the the extension is wrong for that category.2 votes
