Cal-Med Superbill Error Message Guide

Please use this guide to help identify and troubleshoot any error messages you receive with your Practice Fusion and Cal-Med integration.

It may help to use the 'Find' function within your browser when locating a specific error message. You can use CTRL + F (Command + F for Mac users) and type your error message into the text box that appears.

  • P1 - Your Cal-Med Company ID is not found. Please contact Cal-Med Support at 866-719-3732


    • Description : Superbill would not process because the Practice ID in the superbill in not mapped to Cal-Med. This could be because the wrong Practice ID was provided or mapping has not been completed.

    • Troubleshoot : Contact Cal-Med Support at 866-719-3732

     

  • P2 - Your Cal-Med Company ID is not found. Please contact Cal-Med Support at 866-719-3732


    • Description : Superbill would not processed because the Practice ID field was left blank

    • Troubleshoot : Contact Cal-Med Support at 866-719-3732

     

  • P3 - Your Superbill could not be processed into Cal-Med. Please contact Cal-Med or Practice Fusion Support


    • Description : There was an issue while processing your superbill.

    • Troubleshoot : Contact Cal-Med Support at 866-719-3732

     

  • P4 - Your Superbill could not be processed into Cal-Med. Please contact Cal-Med or Practice Fusion Support


    • Description : Internal Server Error, This would be an issue on Cal-Med's end, which will require contacting Cal-Med Support.
    • Troubleshoot : Contact Cal-Med Support at 866-719-3732

     

  • P5 - Your Superbill could not be processed into Cal-Med. Please contact Cal-Med or Practice Fusion Support


    • Description : There was an issue while sending your superbill to your Cal-Med account.
    • Troubleshoot : Contact Cal-Med Support at 866-719-3732

     

  • P6 - No insurance information has been added to the patient chart, please enter insurance for the patient and click on 'refresh' to send your superbill.


    • Description : Patients must have at least one insurance added to their chart for superbills to cross over to Cal-Med.

    • Troubleshoot : Make sure that the patient has an insurance that is an exact match in both Cal-Med and Practice Fusion. Upon adding the matching payer to the patient chart, click REFRESH to update the Superbill with the most current information.

     

  • P7 - Seen by Provider not mapped in Cal-Med, please contact Cal-Med Support at 866-719-3732


    • Description : The 'Seen by' provider on the chart note used to generate this superbill is not the provider that is integrated to use Cal-Med.
    • Troubleshoot : You will need to create a new note and superbill ensuring that the integrated provider is listed as the 'Seen By' provider prior to creating the superbill.

     

  • P8 - More than 12 Unique Diagnosis Codes Encountered


    • Description : There has been more than 12 unique diagnosis codes entered into the superbill. 
    • Cal-Med does not support more than 12 unique codes per superbill.
    • Troubleshoot : A secondary superbill can be created for the encounter

     

  • P9 - Minimum Superbill Information Has Not Been Entered into the patients chart, please ensure all required patient demographics have been entered and press 'refresh' to send your superbill.


    • Description : The patient is missing certain demographic information that is necessary to send superbills over to Cal-Med.
    • Troubleshoot : Open the patient chart and verify that they have all of their demographic information entered.
