How do I turn off my Online Profile or Online Appointment Booking?

You may choose to disable your online profile completely or simply remove the online scheduling portion of your profile, allowing patients to review your profile without the ability to schedule appointments. Any administrator may follow the steps below to disable either functionality.


Disable your entire online profile

1. Click Settings in the top-right corner of the EHR

2. Select Users.

3. Select the provider's name

4. Toggle the Online profile status button to Off.


Note: If the 'Enable online appointment booking' box remains checked, patients will still be able to request new appointments or reschedule/cancel existing appointments from within their patient portals. To disable this, be sure to also uncheck this box.



Disable online scheduling

1. Click Settings in the top-right corner of the EHR

2. Select Users.

3. Select the provider's name

4. Uncheck the box to Enable online appointment booking.




Once online appointment booking has been disabled, patients will see the following message when reviewing your Online Profile: "This provider is not accepting online appointments currently. Call the doctor's office at xxx-xxx-xxxx to book an appointment."


Please note, only users with edit level Phys./MD/DO or NP/PA edit level will see the Online profile and appointment booking section in their user settings at this time.

If you decide you would like to turn your online profile or online scheduling back on, you can simply toggle the settings per the instructions above. With online booking enabled, you will be able to approve all appointments in advance and will have complete control over whether you want to approve or deny those appointment requests. With each approval or denial, the patient will receive an email notifying them of their appointment status.
