The provider will need their individual NPI listed under their User Information, as labs will first associate results by NPI.
Any practice administrator can enter or correct the NPI number for a provider.
Click the Settings button in the top right-hand corner and select Users. Select the correct provider from the list. From the User profile, scroll down to Medical identifiers and update the NPI number, make sure the details here are accurate, save your settings when you have updated the necessary information.
If the NPI has been added, but labs are still arriving 'Unassigned,' please ensure the name listed for the provider within Practice Fusion matches the name listed for the provider within the lab database. If the names do not identically match between Practice Fusion and the lab, the result may not be assigned correctly. This may also occur if there are multiple users with similar names. In that case, you will need to update the name as it appears within Practice Fusion.
