How can I customize my default appointment time and the appointment slots on my schedule?

The scheduler allows for more customization to fit your practice’s workflow. Within the scheduler, you have the ability to:

  • Set default slot times

  • Adjust the date, time, and duration of an appointment

  • Set default durations for custom appointment types

  • Set a default appointment type

Set default slot times

At the top of your Day or Week tab, you can change the default slot time for your calendar. This time slot will transfer over to the Add appointment window. For example, if I customize my calendar to display 10 minutes time slots, each time I add an appointment, the duration will default to 10 minutes.



Adjust the date, time, and duration of an appointment

Within the Add appointment window, you can edit the appointment duration by selecting from the drop-down menu. You may also click into the field to input a custom duration.



To adjust the time of an appointment, you may either:

  • Manually enter a new time

  • Click the clock icon to select a new time from the drop-down menu.


Set default durations for custom appointment types

You are able to customize the duration for custom appointment types within the Settings tab of the Schedule. For example, if I create a custom appointment type entitled Well Baby Visit, and set the appointment duration as 75 minutes, each time I schedule a Well Baby Visit, it will default to a 75 minute appointment.

Set a default appointment type

You may select a default appointment type within the Settings tab of the Schedule. Your default appointment type will be automatically be selected whenever your practice schedules an appointment. Click the radio button next to your practice's preferred type, or select No default appointment type.
