Vaccination Clinical Decision Support Reminders

The vaccination clinical decision support notifications are part of our population health management program for adult vaccinations. To help you identify individuals who have not received the recommended vaccinations, clinical decision support notifications will be displayed within the Immunization section and encounter for eligible patients. The adult vaccination program clinical decision support notification is not vaccine-specific: the notification is displayed for patients who are missing any recommended vaccination.

To resolve the adult vaccination CDS notification, document that the patient has received all of the appropriate vaccinations that they are eligible for, whether in the current visit or in the past, or document the appropriate health information in the EHR to indicate that the patient is excluded from receiving the recommended vaccinations. The vaccinations included in this program are:
  • Influenza
  • Zoster
  • Pneumococcal
  • Measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR)
  • Tetanus, diptheria, and pertussis (Td/Tdap)
  • Varicella
You can disable the notifications in your personal CDS settings area, which can be accessed by visiting Settings > Notifications and alerts > CDS and Surveillance.

  

Under Practice Fusion Clinical Decision Support, click to enable or disable CDS alerts for Vaccination Compliance.
