You can assign a care team for each patient, from primary provider to referring specialist. Specify a primary provider, secondary provider, backup provider and referral specialist right from the patient chart.
Assigning a Care Team
Within the patient chart, navigate to the Profile tab and click Add provider under the Care Team section.
Begin typing to search your connections or choose from the drop-down list.
The drop-down list will display:
Your practice - All users in your practice
Your connections - New connections you’ve added to the Care Team section
Practice Fusion directory - eRx enabled providers in the Practice Fusion network. Note: Providers must be eRx enabled Practice Fusion providers to appear in directory search results. If the provider you're looking for isn't listed, try searching for the provider's first or last name
Adding a new provider
To add a new provider to the Care Team section, click Add new provider to connections. First name, last name, fax number and relationship to patient are required to add a new connection.
Updating the Care Team
To update provider details, click the provider’s name.
Note: Relationship to patient can only be designated for in-practice providers. If altering Relationship to patient, you’ll first need to uncheck the current selection. Only one Relationship to patient can be selected at a time.
To remove a Care Team provider, click the X on the right-hand side.
