2016 Meaningful Use Dashboard live!
Start capturing data for your 2016 Meaningful Use reporting period. Go to Reports > Meaningful Use Dashboard in your EHR and select on “Attestation year: 2016” from the drop down menu at the top. Improvements to your allergy workflow
To ensure you receive important alerts as you’re updating your patient’s allergy section, we’ve improved how and where you enter allergies. Free-text entered allergies have been removed from the patient’s past medical history and added to your patient’s structured allergy field on their summary tab. Using this section will allow you to receive any drug allergy alerts while prescribing. Refer to the "Free-text allergies" section to learn more about this change>>

Create your own Diagnoses List
Now when charting your patient’s encounter or adding diagnoses to a patient’s chart and superbill, you can use a custom diagnoses list to quickly populate frequently used diagnosis codes. In the flyout panel that appears when adding diagnoses to chart notes or the patient’s summary, you’ll see a section labeled “My Dx list”.
Start building your list by searching for the desired diagnosis and selecting “Add to My List” drop the down menu next to "Add". This new self built list replaces the old "frequent" dx list option. Click here to learn more >>
Improve formulary compliance
Your e-prescription workflow automatically displays patient’s health plan formulary information to help you determine the most clinically appropriate and cost effective medication while preventing needless callbacks from the patient or pharmacy. Learn more about formulary>>
ICD-9 codes removed from superbill
To ensure that bills are being accepted by the insurance and billing companies, Practice Fusion has removed ICD-9 codes from the printout and downloadable HL7 versions of the superbill. This change will ensure that you will not receive any errors when sending your bills to your biller.
Service and Support updates:
To better diagnose your service needs, we’ve upgraded the “Contact Us” functionality from the in-product help menu.
- The help menu now automatically links to relevant Knowledge Base articles relating to the EHR section you click from.
- Submitting cases will now automatically pre-fill information to help reduce clicks and keystrokes, and get you answers sooner.
- Relevant diagnostic information such as internet speed, browser version, and more is now automatically included in support cases, helping ensure your issues are resolved as soon as possible.
