When a clinical document is created for referrals, the document lists users throughout the practice. It includes users who are INACTIVE or are STAFF members. Just having the referring physician appear or be an assignable action would be better.

    Please and Thank YOu!

    Partially Resolved  ·  Aliza responded

    Hi everyone,

Good news! As of 9/28/17 you can now add a prefix and/or suffix to the patient Profile page.

We will keep this feature request as partially resolved as we have not yet implemented the ability to search for patients by preferred name.

    Mrs Pam Zaft commented  ·

Having the preferred name field is great, but it doesnt seem to show that preferred name anywhere except in the profile tab... which kinda defeats the purpose.
Any chance entering preferred name would allow that to show in the schedule et all?

    Great suggestion.

We would like to hear from others how they’d like to see this scheduler grid be enhanced and improved.

The preferred contact method should be the first to print out on the appointments tab, phone list.
defeats the purpose when we have to go into each individual chart and navigate to profile tab, to see which contact method the patient wants us to contact them at.
    Thanks!

You asked and we listened: Use Pinned notes to manage non-clinical reminders
Practice Fusion continues to take major steps toward updating your EHR with even more features and enhanced workflows. With Practice Fusion’s Pinned Note feature, we have made it easier for practice staff to quickly view pertinent custom details about patients before they are scheduled, before check in, or during a patient visit. A Pinned Note is the ideal place to record non-clinical information specific to an individual patient, where you can have important information readily available. Thanks you to everyone who voted and helped make the Practice Fusion EHR better for everyone. https://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/1845769

    Mrs Pam Zaft commented  ·

Is there any update as to when this feature will be released? Thanks!

    Mrs Pam Zaft commented  ·

Ideally, alert information would pop up when patient name is selected in the new appt. window.
schedulers don't access the chart in the current workflow. If they do so, new appt information does not save. (ie, new appt window open, patient name selected, click chart hyperlink in window to navigate to patient profile and note field on that page, return to scheduler but that started appt info disappears and must be recreated.)
I think Scheduler and Billing alerts should be handled separately from Chart Alerts. perhaps alerts can be assigned a class/category: Scheduler ; Billing ; Chart ; All

    Thanks!

Thanks Becky—that’s the information we needed. We would like to hear if bulk superbill printing would be valuable to other users as well.

    Mrs Pam Zaft commented  ·

We print each superbill throughout the day to reconcile daily collections and submit to our billing partner.
Would be fantastic if there was a Print all in Queue option we could run at end of day (and maybe even print all by Provider to keep them in some order) =)
    Thanks!!

After consulting with our billing partners, we wanted to provide some additional context for why we are limiting each CPT line to 4 diagnosis codes:

You may associate up to 4 diagnoses per CPT code in the Practice Fusion superbill. While the official CMS 1500 claim form that your biller creates allows for 12 diagnoses to be documented per claim, only 4 diagnosis pointers can be associated per CPT code. To simplify and standardize the superbill process in Practice Fusion, we are limiting each CPT line to 4 diagnosis codes. Please note that the Practice Fusion superbill is not used as an electronic claim and can be adjusted to include diagnosis pointers and additional diagnoses after it has been submitted to your billing system for review.

You can read more about superbills here: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/483043-how-do-i-create-a-superbill

Check in button could be an icon on the left side bar options, so its always there no matter if front desk is currently in scheduler, chart, billing reports, or messages.
Click the link, type patient name, and perhaps click a check box that says Arrived for appts scheduled same day .

Our front desk does not go into the chart for anything other than patient profile for demographics and insurance . and to navigate to future scheduled appts list.

    Thank you for considering this!!

You have the ability to see who inserted an appointment for which patient and at what time the appointment was created all in the Activity Feed and Audit report. Simply go to your reports section and click Activity Feed and Audit Report. This is where you can sort and filter personal and practice activities.
