You asked and we listened: Use Pinned notes to manage non-clinical reminders
Practice Fusion continues to take major steps toward updating your EHR with even more features and enhanced workflows. With Practice Fusion’s Pinned Note feature, we have made it easier for practice staff to quickly view pertinent custom details about patients before they are scheduled, before check in, or during a patient visit. A Pinned Note is the ideal place to record non-clinical information specific to an individual patient, where you can have important information readily available. Thanks you to everyone who voted and helped make the Practice Fusion EHR better for everyone. https://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/1845769

An alert for workers comp patients and the condition the comp case is for would be helpful..

    Ms Kathleen Mancini commented  ·

An alert for surgery related visits would be helpful. The need for certain info for a pre-op visit and then for post op visits before the patient arrives for their appointment would help alot so we do not have to go searching for information when they are in the office

    Ms Kathleen Mancini commented  ·

I see that the flag/alerts for the charting are now available. THis is great, but it would still be great to have a free text field for other issues not listed like pt condition (ie deaf, blind, handicapped ect..) as well as specific allergies or conditions (ie: latex allergy, diabetes, HIV)

Can you also advise when/if the alerts for billing issues will be available?

    Ms Kathleen Mancini commented  ·

The option to note or flag an account due to a change in insurance would be helpful. Especially if we do not accept the new insurance.

ALSO - For Clinical personnel - flags for diabetic patient and Latex allergy would be very helpful

    Ms Kathleen Mancini commented  ·

Alerts or flags would be very helpful with relation to billing and clinical requests. It would also be great if there was a time option for the alert..ie:a week before an appt would get a message or alert that something is needed or to be checked before the scheduled appt time

Hi everyone – As of 1/19/2017, we have introduced a new schedule setting to all practices that allows administrators to determine if encounters will be auto-generated for appointments marked as cancelled or no-show.

You can read more about schedule settings here: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/482832

We have also introduced a new Appointment Report that allows practices to review and filter appointments by facility, status, provider, and date, making it easier to track cancellations, no shows, and other scheduling details.

You can read more about the new Appointment Report here:

I would like to see a sort by the patient name also. Our providers may be looking for scanned documents that have not been signed off on yet, and it would be easier to sort by name to catch these when the patient may be in the office.

I agree. I find when working through the task list, it will take you to the pt chart. When you go back to the task list, it starts at the beginning again.

I would also like to see an option to sort by date, or at least sort from the oldest item....

This would also be helpful for the ambulatory surgery centers. Our doctors see pts there frequently. Listing the visit as "Office Visit" is incorrect and there is no other option for the encounter type that would be appropriate.

Please list more options for the encounter type such as Ambulatory Surgery and Hospital visit/consult

I have run into this a couple time already. Pt had an ins that we found was terminated when we billed for services. When we go to put this date in, there is no field related to that now inactive ins. I can only put a note with the term date.
