    Hi everyone,

Good news! As of 9/28/17 you can now add a prefix and/or suffix to the patient Profile page.

We will keep this feature request as partially resolved as we have not yet implemented the ability to search for patients by preferred name.

    Danielle Marie commented  ·

Yes, I would find the nickname feature helpful. I work in a community with a large LGBT population and sometimes the names the person goes by better represents their gender identity than their legal name. Related to this, I'd like to allow some way to indicate if a patient is transgendered. It's not something you really want to ask twice.

Hi everyone – As of 1/19/2017, we have introduced a new schedule setting to all practices that allows administrators to determine if encounters will be auto-generated for appointments marked as cancelled or no-show.

You can read more about schedule settings here: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/482832

We have also introduced a new Appointment Report that allows practices to review and filter appointments by facility, status, provider, and date, making it easier to track cancellations, no shows, and other scheduling details.

You can read more about the new Appointment Report here:

Also I agree with Bill Force who commented below. Being able to view patients that have dropped out of treatment would be helpful to get them re-engaged back into treatment. This is especially true in psych as patients sometimes stop showing up when they are at their worst. Also it would enable me to make sure no one is falling through the cracks.

    Danielle Marie commented  ·

I agree. I want to make some sort of consequence to patients that make me lose valuable time and money.

Great news! We have released the custom document types feature into the New EHR. Over the next few weeks, we will be adding this functionality to our practices’ instances of the New EHR, so keep an eye out for this new feature.

Thanks for providing all of your input and requests for this feature and we’re delighted to release it.

You can learn more about this feature here: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/527165-how-do-i-create-custom-document-types
