This is an interesting one. By a certain age, a child should have had certain vaccines. I know programs like CAIR tell us, what they have and what they need. However, we, as providers never to to CAIR. It would be cool if Practice Fusion could remind us of the childhood vaccines the way it does Tdaps, and adult vaccines. I don't really need it for the new borns little babies because we are so focused on vaccines during that first year. It is that kid who didn't come to their 15 month visit, and I never noticed so is one Dtap and Hib behind for years. And if they they only come in for colds and bites, it is easy to never look at their vaccine record.

Right now I print the pages out and hand them to the patient. But if I send them to patient fusion 1) they can't lose it 2) drives them to use Patient Fusion (right now the minority of patient's who are signed up do log in) and 3) less messing with printers on every desk. I think this is a great idea.

Hi everyone – As of 1/19/2017, we have introduced a new schedule setting to all practices that allows administrators to determine if encounters will be auto-generated for appointments marked as cancelled or no-show.

You can read more about schedule settings here: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/482832

We have also introduced a new Appointment Report that allows practices to review and filter appointments by facility, status, provider, and date, making it easier to track cancellations, no shows, and other scheduling details.

You can read more about the new Appointment Report here:

    Hi everyone,

Good news! As of 9/28/17 you can now add a prefix and/or suffix to the patient Profile page.

We will keep this feature request as partially resolved as we have not yet implemented the ability to search for patients by preferred name.

    Dr Angus Matheson commented  ·

The biggest problem for us is nicknames. I have patient who have gone by another name their entire lives. But there is no way to show anything but their legal name. I'd live a box for nickname or goes by. It would be also great if the search also searched nicknames with first name. So if someone name Thomas called in and said his name was Tom - and we had entered his name as Thomas and nickname Tom. If we entered Tom and last name in his name search we could find him. Old EMR did that better, because patients whose name were close would come up. but in New EMR we have to have an exact match.

as primary care, I would also like this feature to CC to specialist. After I make a note, it often needs to be sent somewhere else. There is a referral process, which also isn't idea, but there is no way to make a cc after that first referral. What we do is send a message to the referral coordinator - who prints out the note and then faxes it. But there is no way in PF to make that happen or show that it was done.

Hi everyone—quick update here to let you know that the Timeline will remember which section you were looking at when you navigate back.

    Dr Angus Matheson commented  ·

That would be great. I would also love a timeline that had all clinical "events" in chronological order. I would love every 1) encounter 2) lab 3) imaging 3) documents (because a lot of labs and x-rays and referral notes get put into documents) 4) messages attached to that patient (and later tasks associated with a patient when we can create tasks. It would be great if everything since the last encounter were somehow bold or in a different color. Basically this is everything clinically new since the last time you saw this patient. I would love this to be the initial timeline. But you only need to load the first little bit - maybe everything since last encounter. Then let us select more if we need to see more in specific catagories - like labs, encounters, documents.

This is a great idea. Are you thinking that you would like to enter in these alerts by hand, per patient? Or, more ideally, the insurance company would connect directly to Practice Fusion and populate the information for you automatically?
