    Hi everyone,

This is a great time to provide you all with an update of the progress we’ve made toward our longterm goal of never having to take the EHR offline for planned hardware or software upgrades.

In 2013, we had 50 scheduled downtime windows to upgrade the system.

    In 2014, we had 22.

    In 2015, we had 11.

In 2016, 4 months into the year, we have only had 1 downtime release.

That is the lowest number of planned downtime releases of any EHR on the market.

We appreciate your patience as we work diligently toward zero.

This concept is being discussed by the product team and we’re investigating ways on how we might be able to make this happen.

In the meantime, we are working hard at minimizing the numbers of releases that require system maintenance periods, and this year nearly half of our releases have been “up-time.” You can expect to see more up-time releases in the coming year.

In our office we mostly use the weekly view, it'd be great if patients could be "checked in" from the day screen and weekly screen as well! It would certainly make things run more efficiently.

PF has outdated radiology CPT codes. Specifically the outdated codes we have found that are NOT currently marked as (OUTDATED) are:
    - CPT code 73510 radiologic examination, hip, unilateral; complete, minimum of 2 views
-CPT code 73550 Radiologic examination, femur, 2 views
... as I stated earlier, these codes are OUTDATED and need to be marked as such

The new CPT codes for these are not listed in PF:
-CPT code 73502 Radiologic examination, hip, unilateral, 2-3 views
-CPT code 73552 Radiologic examination, femur, minimum 2 view
PLEASE add these new CPT codes to PF

You asked and we listened: Use Pinned notes to manage non-clinical reminders
Practice Fusion continues to take major steps toward updating your EHR with even more features and enhanced workflows. With Practice Fusion’s Pinned Note feature, we have made it easier for practice staff to quickly view pertinent custom details about patients before they are scheduled, before check in, or during a patient visit. A Pinned Note is the ideal place to record non-clinical information specific to an individual patient, where you can have important information readily available. Thanks you to everyone who voted and helped make the Practice Fusion EHR better for everyone. https://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/1845769

Hi everyone – As of 1/19/2017, we have introduced a new schedule setting to all practices that allows administrators to determine if encounters will be auto-generated for appointments marked as cancelled or no-show.

You can read more about schedule settings here: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/482832

We have also introduced a new Appointment Report that allows practices to review and filter appointments by facility, status, provider, and date, making it easier to track cancellations, no shows, and other scheduling details.

You can read more about the new Appointment Report here:

Yes PLEASE do this! I use a print out of the daily schedule as my work list throughout the day to keep on schedule and prepare for upcoming patients. I am not near my computer throughout the day, as I am with patients, so this printed out schedule is a VITAL part of my day. The schedule used to print very succinctly on one page, now it takes 3 pages to print. Its very cumbersome and disruptive to my work flow to be rifling through pages. I would really like to see this change enacted. Thank you!
