I had an idea before for a tickler feature. Currently I always type at the end of my Plan "Return visit: one month" or another amount of time.

If there were a separate box for this, a feature could be built that emails the patient if that time passes and there's not an appointment.

    "Dear so and so,
It is time for your follow up visit. Please give us a call to schedule."

Update: We’ve made additional enhancements to the Recent patient list.

Beginning 4/24/2015, the patient list in the new EHR will automatically show up to 1,000 patients, sorted by most recently accessed.

You can read more about this here: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/483079-how-do-i-search-for-patients-in-the-ehr

We will also be taking an entire re-look at this feature later this year, to make sure you can find your patients when you need to access them.

Recent patients seems to have a delay of 12-24 hours before it actually shows the most recently accessed patients. That is, the top of my Recent patient list is always charts I've opened 12-24 hours ago. Sometimes it's longer.

We are happy to report that as of Q4 2015, chart notes are auto-saving every minute, so this idea is Resolved.

Thanks for your patience as we worked through the most stable way to accomplish this.

Hi everyone – As of 11/17/17, patients are able to attach files and hyperlinks to messages that they send to their provider from within the patient portal. When received in the EHR, these files and hyperlinks can be saved as documents to attach to the patient chart.

For more information on handling patient message attachments, please see our Knowledge Base article here:

Currently, you have a search box which appears at the upper left when you have an individual visit open. But when you are in Summary or Timeline, the Search box is not there. A very common thing is that while the patient is talking, you need to check previous visits for something ("Did we do x?" "When did we do x?"). They keep talking while you do this and saying things that you need to document. You need to be able to very quickly reference past visits and if you don't know which one you have to go through all of them. While the patient is still talking with other information.
If that Search box could search the whole chart it would save having to open and close every visit.

Hi everyone, as you may have noticed, as of mid-2015, you can access Quick Preview to look at lab results and previous notes for the patient when working on a chart note.

You can learn more about how Quick Preview works here: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/483091-how-can-i-preview-previous-encounters-and-results

Additionally, if you’re interested in viewing documents or other things that are not currently in the Quick Preview, you can vote for and comment on this idea: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/forums/276361-product-ideas/suggestions/7137258-please-make-the-patient-s-documents-visible-and-ac
