With the new change (removing Allergies from the PMH section in the summary page and making it structured), we can't seem to add allergies right into the chart note from the "Previous--Past medical history" tab next to the "My Templates" tab. Under Allergies, it now says "Not recorded."

This is doing us a disservice. I want to include this information in the body of my chart note (I don't want it attached to the encounter or appear in its own section).

The field should still populate, whether with the name of the selected medication allergy in the structured allergy section, or with "No known drug allergies" if that option is selected in the chart summary page.

Absolutely! Need to be able to see tasks associated with patient chart, such as in the summary page. That way if something is set to be done regarding a patient, we don't need to wonder about it.
For example, if we are supposed to call the patient in 1 yr to set up an annual follow up, we create a task reminder. And if someone opens the chart later and sees no follow up appointments scheduled, at least they would know that there was a task created to call the patient. Otherwise, they would either be left wondering, or they might create another task for this. No one has time to search the future task list for these things.

Agreed. At least they should have the ability to create the prescription for the doctor to sign.

You asked and we listened: Use Pinned notes to manage non-clinical reminders
Practice Fusion continues to take major steps toward updating your EHR with even more features and enhanced workflows. With Practice Fusion’s Pinned Note feature, we have made it easier for practice staff to quickly view pertinent custom details about patients before they are scheduled, before check in, or during a patient visit. A Pinned Note is the ideal place to record non-clinical information specific to an individual patient, where you can have important information readily available. Thanks you to everyone who voted and helped make the Practice Fusion EHR better for everyone. https://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/1845769

    Great suggestion.

We would like to hear from others how they’d like to see this scheduler grid be enhanced and improved.

Was just about to suggest this, and I found that someone beat me to it. This is very helpful, because I just can't see all the details in the normal view, and when I hover over the appointment, it doesn't tell me the reason (just knowing the appointment type doesn't do much for us).

Good idea. When we sign a chart, it should give you options like: cancel, sign, sign and close chart.

We are happy to report that as of Q4 2015, chart notes are auto-saving every minute, so this idea is Resolved.

Thanks for your patience as we worked through the most stable way to accomplish this.

    Hi Alicia,

You can accomplish this currently by going to the Actions menu and clicking “Refresh Patient Chart”, but we want to keep your idea to make this more accessible with a single click in the patient header. If enough people vote on this item being important for their practice’s productivity, we’ll add it!

This seems like a no-brainer. Not sure why we have to have cpt and diagnostic info selected first. I often start the superbill process, then have to go back to the encounter note to get a few more details, and I lose all my information.
The point of a "draft" should be that it's incomplete but we can still save it. Thanks.

I'm surprise that no one has suggested the option of being able to CUSTOMIZE the list! Ordering by frequency is also a nice feature.
Alphabetical, I'm afraid, is not as useful, because we would have to scroll quite a bit, even if we know where the diagnosis is.
I would really like to be able to customize the frequent diagnosis list to put things where I want to put them. As it is, the frequently used list is almost worthless to me, because I still have to scan the list to find the diagnosis I want, which takes way too much time (I'm better off searching for it!).

This is a solid idea. We’re currently digging into how our current Problem List works and this is valuable input for how we may shape this feature.

How else would you like to see the Problem List evolve and improve?

    Glaucoma Doc commented  ·

Agree that diagnoses should be "orderable" and keep the order.

This is actually an important idea. For MU, we have to document family history in the structured FH area, to get credit for it. However, if I delegate that to my staff, I need to quick way to confirm that it's been entered (without having to open up PMH, then click on "structured family history" and then close that tab).

My staff often forgets to click on structured family history (even though they routinely document it in the PMH section) because structured family history doesn't show up in the summary the way that medications and allergies, etc., do.
