Encounters I'd like to see: "Procedure" and "Other" (neither should be tied to Meaningful Use).
"Other" would give us the freedom to create note types that are most suitable.

This is truly one of those time saving things that make too much sense. This feature (automatically associating with a patient) works when creating tasks from the Document upload section, but it doesn't do it when in a patient's chart! This needs to be fixed.
Of course, we would still have the option of removing the patient's name from the task if it is a random task unrelated to patients (or if it has to do with another patient but we've got a different patient chart open).

No brainer. We need refresh buttons everywhere, especially when charting. No need to go to drop down menus. Thanks.

As many of you know, we have deployed the ability for faxes to flow into Practice Fusion from Updox. This method of document publishing may be a positive alternative to scanning of documents.

We will leave this idea as “Acknowledged” for now.

Would be great if we can upload a bunch of documents at once FOR THE SAME PATIENT. As of now, we can upload a bunch of documents at once, but we still have to go into each document and specify which patient it's for. Should be able to streamline this, since we usually upload a few items for new patients on the first visit.

Waiting for this! Even better, we could have our own custom tab (thought if I had a custom tab, I'd customize it to show signed documents).

    Ways to reduce clicking/typing:
    1) When we click to "add procedure," have list of the frequently used cpt codes automatically show up (currently, it doesn't populate that list until I start typing in a code in the text field or until I click on the search button).
    2) Have the historical patient diagnoses be the default list of diagnoses that shows up (rather than the encounter diagnoses); that way, we aren't forced to either take the time to associate diagnoses with each encounter or otherwise have to click on "historical" to view the patient's diagnosis list).
    3) Devise a way to have the diagnoses selected for the first procedure be easily applied to the remaining procedures, sparing us from having to go through the "add diagnosis" process for each of multiple procedure codes. The way the new superbill feature allows us to select and add multiple CPT codes at once is fantastic (and long overdue). Now we just need to make adding the diagnoses just as efficient. Maybe we can have the following options to click and choose from: (a) Add all selected diagnoses to remaining procedure(s), (b) Add only primary diagnosis to remaining procedure(s) (and if we don't choose either of these two options, then it won't add the selected diagnoses from the first procedure to any remaining procedures.
I figure that if we can easily add the previously selected diagnoses (or the primary one) to ALL the procedures with the click of a button, then it's easy enough to click on delete for the diagnoses we don't want.

Thank you very much! Great improvement!
I would also suggest that we be able to hide/disable certain parts of the PMH section (I NEVER document nutritional history or developmental history, for example).

Also, on a related note, when copying PMH into the encounter note, I always use "Add all," and it copies EVERYTHING from the PMH (even the empty sections, saying "not recorded"). It just clutters my note. I'd rather it just "add" whatever WAS recorded.

That would be a nice option to select (individualize), but for some it might clutter that preview functionality if it included more than encounters only.

YES. Fully agree with idea of having a separate (easily accessible) documents tab rather than have to find it through Timeline indirectly!!

Also, on a somewhat related note, I think it makes more sense to reorder the tabs so that Profile is just to the right of Summary. Timeline makes more sense to be to the right of Profile, since the open encounters are on the right. Nothing major, but seems more intuitive.

Agreed. Should suggest names as soon as you start typing a name, first or last name.
