Hi everyone – As of 11/17/17, patients are able to attach files and hyperlinks to messages that they send to their provider from within the patient portal. When received in the EHR, these files and hyperlinks can be saved as documents to attach to the patient chart.

Update: We’ve made additional enhancements to the Recent patient list.
Beginning 4/24/2015, the patient list in the new EHR will automatically show up to 1,000 patients, sorted by most recently accessed.

We will also be taking an entire re-look at this feature later this year, to make sure you can find your patients when you need to access them.

Hi Dr. Bernstein, you can still access growth charts from the go to menu, are you asking us to also have a link on the encounter for growth charts so you don’t have to used the Goto menu?

Vaccine display is an area where the STANDARD AAP/CDC display grid is mandatory. Primary care providers are accustomed for the most part to using this format and our workflow is NEGATIVELY impacted when the display is something else. Currently, the display of sequential vaccines seems to be varied. The dates given sometimes are in date order, other times the display ignores the year and lists them in month order. THIS MUST BE ADDRESSED with the number of parents with a variant vaccine schedule. We are constantly struggling to discern what vaccines are needed and when.
Other providers may prefer to have a more customizable vaccine grid and 'turn off' the display of vaccines that they do not administer. Thank you for making this a priority for primary care physicians

We continue to use our vaccine 'work around' chart note to display the AAP style vaccines in order to show holes for which vaccines have and have not been administered. I would LOVE a customizable display grid where I can turn on/off which named vaccines are displayed and in which order. Likewise, I would like the patients to have access to their vaccine grids thru PatientFusion.

This is a great idea. Are you thinking that you would like to enter in these alerts by hand, per patient? Or, more ideally, the insurance company would connect directly to Practice Fusion and populate the information for you automatically?

This is a key feature as we 'invite' our parents/patients into their patientFusion Portal. We have to explain to them that the only way we will know that there is a message from them is if we are logged in to the EMR and just happen to notice that the message icon has a number next to it. With the signal to noise ratio of all the data we are working in... this is an important signal to overlook. It deserves you attention if you are invested in top-tier patient care, and we know you are.

Hi Deanne—we’re looking for ways to provide this information in future iterations of the summary page. It’s already a bit cluttered at this point, so we want to do it in a clean manner that doesn’t create too much data density.

As of 9/15/2015, we have released our Eligibility functionality for 100% of Practice Fusion practices.

I have great news to share on this one. We have implemented half of this feature. As of today, 6/3/2015, all of our practices can now choose which sections of the chart note should be shown or hidden.

Please give patients and their parents access to immunization data thru Patient Fusion. Both adults and children need access to this very important health information, and I feel this would improve the ROI on having to create an account making it simpler to drive traffic to the patient portal.
