The knowledge base states that we can search by various fields:
First, Last Name
Patient Record Number
Date of Birth
Contact information (address, home and mobile phone numbers)
Time/Date that chart was last accessed.
However, we can only search by DOB, Name, SSN, or PRN. Please add the search capability for other fields such as address, phone/cell, and others for which the knowledge base incorrectly states we can enter as search parameters.
Enable the system find patients by any string that matches the string entered in the search bar. For example, if there are 20 clients with the first 5 letters that are the same, but the 6th,7th, 8th are more unique, then I may want to search by that name. For example, searching by the initial letters of "cha" may produce many results, but "pman" will produce few when looking for "chapman".
Provide button to auto fill fields, such as address and phone number or an "as above" check box. This would help with next of kin and emergency contact information.
I’m happy to report that this feature has been built and deployed to the New EHR!

When working with documents, it's difficult to find one that I'm looking for. We would like the ability to sort by more columns or search by title of a document so we can find them easier.
Link files of those who are married; this is critical for psychotherapy because couples are considered a singular client/treatment unit. And, with the integrated medical model, psychotherapists are working in and with medical associations, making this a need unanswered with the EHR.

Good news! As of 9/28/17 you can now add a prefix and/or suffix to the patient Profile page.
We will keep this feature request as partially resolved as we have not yet implemented the ability to search for patients by preferred name.
As of 12/3/2015, we have deployed this feature to all Practice Fusion practices, now including attaching structured lab results. You can learn how to use this new feature here:
As many of you know, we have deployed the ability for faxes to flow into Practice Fusion from Updox. This method of document publishing may be a positive alternative to scanning of documents.
We will leave this idea as “Acknowledged” for now.
To sign up for this service, please fill in the Updox form here http://info.updox.com/updox-practicefusion/ to create your Updox account or call an Updox representative at (614) 798-8170 ext. 1 to begin the process.

Hi everyone – As of 1/19/2017, we have introduced a new schedule setting to all practices that allows administrators to determine if encounters will be auto-generated for appointments marked as cancelled or no-show.
You can read more about schedule settings here: http://knowledgebase.practicefusion.com/knowledgebase/articles/482832
We have also introduced a new Appointment Report that allows practices to review and filter appointments by facility, status, provider, and date, making it easier to track cancellations, no shows, and other scheduling details.
You can read more about the new Appointment Report here:
Having to save a patient's file then wait (for a long time sometimes) to change screens while the data is saved to then click on the Profile tab, then enter notes is a laborious process, costing in labor and happiness of staff.
Fields are missing from the template, making integration with the EHR seemingly impossible, and making creation of templates for intake nearly worthless. The intake need include all fields that an office admin would enter (including the options) when creating a patient, otherwise integration is not actually occurring, and paperwork is still (un)necessary.
Date of Death
Social Security Number
Next of Kin (Emergency Contact is offered, but it is not clear if this is meant to be the next of kin information; they may be very different to the patient)
Preferred method of being contacted
Hello everyone – great news! You now have the ability to specify gender at birth in the patient Profile as well as gender identity and sexual orientation on the patient Summary page.
Thank you for your patience as we worked to get this implemented!
The intake is not accurate with respect to sex and fails to permit identification of gender. Sex is not binary: male or female. As a medical record provider, accuracy is critical. Add "Intersex" as an option. Additionally, gender is not included in basic demographics. Please add gender with the following options: Pre-Op
