We have not easy or reliable way to access our calender and messages on PF on a mobile device. I've got to either get a tablet to haul every where or try to get my reading glasses and navigate the "web ehr" on my phone.

It's impossible to answer a call and make an appt for an emergency pt, look at my schedule get messages etc.

Almost every certified ehr allows simple mobile access (via app or user agent string) to a calender and the messages.

As an experiment, have a staff member try to look at a calender and give a pt an appointment on their mobile device...impossible.

Please we are struggling in all our locations with this issue. They want the notes for the day and we are forced to go back to the office and go through an arduous process. If you add the latency when you are offsite, it becomes very difficult to manage.
There are some suggestions you could try:
Don't sign the note, then when you get to the office, sign and print all 30 notes for the day.
Fax each note individually however you will have a cover page with each fax and overwhelm their fax machines, so schedule your faxing at night or very early
Print out each note individually (grin and bear method)

This is very cumbersome part of the charting process. The ros is critical in terms of reimbursement, liability, billing etc. Ideally a check list would work best. For template items, you would check off back pain instead of either trying to tab or finger tap ??
The ?? item is a good idea but doesn't work well for mobility (ipads/surface etc) and doesn't work well on desktop (tab key is unreliable).

In January 2016, we overhauled the patient chart header, which included major updates to the PHR enrollment window.

    Hi,
I just saw a simple short form for pain created for a brief pain assessment in the S/IA area. This is similar to what we are asking, the ability to be able to click on a good ros, maybe created a better sh area (alcohol, drug use etc) and to make a much better note.
If you are not careful with those ?? they become part of the chart notes and I can tell you from personal experience that a car accident claim called the (??) that practice fusion creates when signing the note. Please put this in, so we can all create a meaningful exchange of data that benefits everyone.

In terms of templates, check lists are so invaluable. The tabs are unreliable and considered hit or miss. I was looking at the various elements that google forms have and it seems that these elements could be incorporated into a cohesive note that captures a better picture of the pt encouter

    Dr Rahul Gor commented  ·

    I love checks lists also!
    1. Easy to document ros w/ either yes or no
    2. Great for tablets since you just click on an item instead of typing n/y
    3. Great for soap notes and plans sections so you can put in it in templates that create more detailed sentences instead of boiler plate responses.
