    This would be super helpful, especially since some people schedule same day new patient appointments and we do not have the capability in our office to have them fill out their Patient Intake forms electronically.- we end up resorting back to paper.

    Hi Rachel—thanks for this idea. We’ve heard from many of our practices that they would like this customization feature.

    Currently, when a patient is marked as Arrived, a SOAP note is automatically created. We do this for a number of reasons, but it is clearly not a necessity for many practices. We are considering making this a practice-wide or provider-specific setting for Arriving new patients.

    I think this is a great idea and would be very helpful for our clinical staff! Also it would be beneficial to have a specific section within the SOAP note where the docs can send orders to their nurse and that order would then appear in the nurses task box. Currently there is no way for a nurse to know if an order is made, so they have to open the SOAP note and refer to the plan for details.

    Hi everyone – As of 11/17/17, patients are able to attach files and hyperlinks to messages that they send to their provider from within the patient portal. When received in the EHR, these files and hyperlinks can be saved as documents to attach to the patient chart.

    Our office would like to be able to differentiate between our general office visits and our Workers Comp visits, but unfortunately there is no SOAP note available that identifies the note as a Workers Comp visit. There is a Workers Comp/Occ note type available that would be perfect for WC identification, but this type of note does not have the same capabilities as a SOAP note. Our office would like the Workers Comp/Occ note type to be setup the same as a SOAP note that way we are able to better identify our patient records.
